A reply after a week means she still wants you as an option, but you're not a priority right now. Answer once, warmly, with a specific plan, and let how she handles that plan tell you whether this is worth your time.
You'd already filed her under "ghosted." Now she's back with "omg sorry this week was insane" or just a meme, like the last seven days didn't happen.
Her side, honestly
A week is long. Let me not pretend it isn't. When I go a week, it's one of three things:
- My life actually blew up (work, family, sick, moving). Rare, but real.
- I was talking to someone else, it fizzled, and now I'm looking around.
- I liked you fine, I'm bored tonight, and your name popped up.
You can't tell which from the text. You can tell from what she does next.
The two bad reddit-style answers
The internet's go-tos here are "leave her on read so she learns" and "never reward a week of silence." I get the pride thing. But leaving her on read doesn't teach anyone anything. It just ends it, and you never find out if it was number one.
The opposite mistake is jumping straight back into week-ago energy, texting her all evening like you're picking up mid-sentence. That tells her the gap cost nothing.
What works
One warm reply. No guilt trip. And a plan with a day on it, because a plan is the one thing that sorts the three versions. Number one says yes or offers another day. Numbers two and three get vague.

- A long catch-up about your whole week. Save it for the date.
When to drop it
If she dodges the plan, or the next gap is another week, you have your answer. Leave it friendly and stop initiating. You don't need a closing speech.
