What to text a girl after getting her number
Look at you. You walked up, you talked, and you walked away with her number. Most guys never get this far. Now let's not waste it with "hey."
Text her the same day
Forget waiting a few days to look cool. She just met you and she's still a little curious. Text her that evening or the next day, while you're still a face she remembers and not a contact called "Sarah Bar."
Remind her who you are
She might have given out her number once this month or five times. Make it easy. Point at the moment you met. The dog, the bad karaoke, the argument about tacos. A callback does two jobs at once: it tells her who you are, and it shows you were paying attention.
Keep it short and light
One or two lines. No paragraph, no "it was really nice meeting you and I just wanted to say." You're opening a door, not giving a speech.
Get to a plan fast
Texting is not the relationship. Two or three easy back and forths, then ask her out with a day and a place. The longer you text without a plan, the more you turn into a pen pal.

Text her today. Say your name plus one thing from the moment you met. After two or three replies, ask her out with a day and a place.
