It gets more meaningful when you asked her something and got only a heart. That's me dodging the question, usually because answering would mean committing to something, like a plan or a deeper conversation.
So: statement plus like is normal. Question plus like is a soft dodge.
The usual reddit advice, and the better move
The internet consensus is mostly "a like is the new left on read" and "she's being lazy, don't chase." Some of that's fair. But a lot of guys read a heart on a statement as rejection, when it's just the thread ending the way threads end.
The better move: if your text didn't ask anything, a like is fine, start something new later today or tomorrow. If it did ask something, ask it again once, more simply, or turn it into an easy yes or no.
